Why the Perch?

Seems like an odd title eh? Well its not completely random. I served a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in the Canada Toronto West Mission. While living in a city called Brampton I created what I affectionately dubbed, "Elder Gilbert's Perch". This was a wooden chair set up on an elevated landing above the stairs. It was in the perch that I did most of my reading and from which the missionaries I lived with heard about my thoughts I had while reading. Now, once again I have a place to speak my thoughts from, and what better title then the perch to describe it as.
